Discovery Primary Science and Maths Award.

Well done to all the children in Scoil Carmel who participated in the Discover Primary Science and Maths Award for the 13th year in a row. Below is an extract from the letter received from Science Foundation Ireland…

‘Congratulations – your school has achieved a Science Foundation Ireland Discover Science and Maths Award. We have evaluated your Log of Evidence and we are satisfied that you have met all the criteria for the

Here is some of the feedback on the Log of Evidence:

“Well done on all your wonderful STEM work. Your Engineering activities were particularly good as they tied in with visits to local sites. Well done on all your examples of showcasing your work to each other and to Ollie for his ‘space talk’. Congratulations to all on your award.’

‘Again, many congratulations to you, your students and your colleagues on achieving your Science Foundation Ireland Discover Science & Maths Award in 2018.’

The children will meet their teachers and visit their classrooms next week. We will also show them where to line up in the playgrounds for September. Continue reading
